It measures body weight and uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to estimate body composition. The manufacturer lists 29 body composition data points.

Do I need to look at my phone?

The scale has a large built-in display for results. A companion app connects via Bluetooth for its additional features; follow the supplied pairing instructions.
