What the readings tell you
ECO6 estimates nitrate levels in supported fresh foods using electrical conductivity. It also provides a TDS water reading and a background radiation measurement.
These are indicators, not a complete food or water safety assessment. The tester does not detect pesticides, heavy metals or bacteria, and it does not replace laboratory analysis. TDS alone cannot establish whether water is safe to drink.

The manufacturer publishes documents for the Greentest range, including older models. Each document applies to the model, date and tests it names.

CE concerns conformity with applicable EU requirements; it is not EU product approval. EMC concerns electromagnetic compatibility. RoHS concerns restricted substances in the electronics. These do not, by themselves, establish nitrate measurement accuracy.
Simple habits for repeated use
- Follow your model's manual, select the correct food and keep the tester still during measurement.
- Clean the probes as instructed before and after use, then protect them with their cap.
- Keep the main unit dry and follow the charging instructions.
